After months of preparation, Thor is ready for Arctic waters. Whether we make it through now depends on this summer’s ice conditions, no breakdowns, and a lot of luck! Many have tried; few have succeeded.

July 17:    Check in Nuuk, Greenland

Aug 10:    Depart Upernivik, Greenland

Last week of August (or earlier!!!!):  Transit Bellot Straight

September 3:    Depart Cambridge Bay, Nunavut

September 9:    Depart Tuktoyaktuk, Northwest Territories

September 20:  Depart Nome

October:  Haul out in Alaska
